Jenelle Orcherton

Jenelle Orcherton is a musician, educator and active community member with training in Education and a Masters in Jazz Performance from the University of Illinois. She is the Artistic Director and Founder of the annual Champaign-Urbana Jazz Festival, which will celebrate its 12-year anniversary season in October 2026. She has served on many music and community organizations including Music Defying Boundaries and the Urbana Public Arts Commission. Jenelle has 20 years of education experience and is passionate about giving all peoples the opportunity to engage with and be transformed by music.
