Jerry Carden

As a farm kid from Iowa, Jerry learned the value of hard work and giving back to your community from his family and other small-town role models.

Music: He learned to love music through his family church, singing by his grandma’s side on her piano bench, then with piano lessons and school choirs. He discovered the trombone in fourth grade, eventually playing in high school concert, stage and marching bands. He still plays that trombone in the Baroque and Olde Music ensemble through the Community Center for the Arts (C4A). Jerry was a charter member of the CU Gay Men’s Chorus…
